22squared is looking for a Media Planner on one of their largest media accounts, leading to lots of opportunity to be exposed to an established team that is always looking for innovation.

The Media Planner is responsible for providing support to the media team in developing, finding insights and reporting media planning documents for the client assigned. The ideal candidate is someone who is inquisitive and passionate about media, as well as adaptable in a quick (but fun) paced environment. The responsibilities are varied and allow for opportunity to gain exposure across multiple channels on an integrated team. The Media Planner will be expected to collaborate cross-account as we work closely with other departments on a regular basis. 

Duties and Responsibilities vary and include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Developing media objectives and strategies (support and exposure to traditional and digital channels)
  • Support in execution of media plans and on-going management of the media plan (support and exposure to traditional and digital channels)
  • Leveraging data to analyze and provide reporting insights and collaborate on optimization recommendations
  • Utilizing 3rd party media research tools and resources to develop strategic client recommendations (i.e. Nielsen AdIntel, MediaOcean, SimmonsMRI, ComScore, Datorama)
  • Evaluation of media opportunities and providing POVs both internally as well as client facing
  • Support in the stewardship of client finances in the form of vendor invoice reconciliation and budget tracking documents
  • Support team by managing both up and down to team members enabling overall team growth
  • Develop RFPs and evaluate vendor proposals as well as field any questions

Qualifications for the position include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Advertising/Communications (or closely related field)
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the media marketplace
  • Minimum of 1 year of paid media experience planning/executing within both traditional (TV or radio) and digital media channels
  • Strong time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Accountable and strong attention to detail
  • Proactive thinker who can move the business forward
  • Be of an open, but solution-oriented mindset
  • Ability to work well within a team setting, but also work independently
  • Proficiency within Google and Microsoft suite (i.e. Excel, Word, PPT.)
