Position Description: Manager, National Video Investment

22squared is the sixth largest full service independent agency in the U.S., with two highly collaborative office environments (Atlanta and Tampa). We believe the most effective way to grow brands is through advocacy. We apply it across all media for clients as diverse as Publix Super Markets, Advent Health Systems and Southeast Toyota Distributors. Now, we’re expanding into the National arena with Truist Financial, the sixth largest bank in the country.

A 22squared Manager of National Video Investment is responsible for owning the overall day-to-day maintenance of clients’ accounts while also supporting leadership in a capacity beyond the everyday scope of work.  The ideal candidate will be a self-starter that can tackle everyday account maintenance “soup to nuts” while possessing an entrepreneurial spirit to grow a new and emerging agency arm.

 Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Own the day-to-day maintenance of client inventory; including, but not limited to, tracking delivery, requesting pre/post logs, inputting and stewarding schedules, traffic process and invoicing
  • Assist in the overall negotiation process; analyze plans, perform mix analyses, develop specs sheets
  • Oversee added value facilitation; liaise between client, creative, network teams to ensure guidelines are adhered to, deadlines are met, and sponsorships go on-air, on time
  • Advise, recommend and execute client buys; negotiate pricing, scheduling and added value
  • Support leadership for key client deliverables; investment recommendations, POVs, ratings requests among a variety of other client-specific needs
  • Maintains current knowledge of the emerging video landscape; can effectively communicate the strengths and weaknesses of media partners and their offerings
  • Generates strong relationships with media partners and is able to speak clearly and effectively regarding client needs and desires
  • Must be able to work autonomously; as a growing department, must possess a “start-up mentality” and be able to handle a multitude of responsibilities
  • Need to have strong multi-tasking/prioritization skills
  • Must be able to adapt and pivot to change in direction
  • Collaborate cross-department; work closely with planning/strategy, account management teams
  • As the team and department grow, act as a “go-to” resource for subordinates, help in finetuning their skills, advancing their careers
  • Provides industry/market intelligence to further educate the team that may impact media plans. Employee should be more proactive than reactive
  • Assist in new business pitches when necessary
  • Attends meetings as needed, internally and externally
  • Builds a positive image in the industry community, serving as an Agency advocate and participating in advertising community events

Experience necessary: 

  • Fluent or strong proficiency in the MediaOcean/Prisma Suite
  • Buy Entry, Package Maintenance, Estimate Maintenance, Research Reporter, Billing
  • Need to be able to work independently within the system; set up program codes, estimates and packages, pull ratings, CPM adjustments, schedule inputs and changes, EDI process
  • Experience analyzing Linear TV plans is a must
  • Negotiation experience is a plus
  • Digital video experience is highly valuable (Prisma, creating tags, etc)
  • Addressable experience is a plus, but not required

Additional Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of national video buying experience
  • Bachelor degree required.  BA/BS in Advertising, Marketing/Business preferred
  • Ability to understand client objectives and how they translate into media strategies
  • Know and understand key media terminology
  • Keep abreast of new media opportunities and trends
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong mathematic and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint and a media buying software programs
  • Effective time management and organizational skills, as well as strong attention to detail and adhere to assigned deadlines
  • The ability to work well with a team and also work independently
  • Able to manage day-to-day execution of buys
  • Proficient in the methodology and use of all available broadcast data and related services, including Nielsen, Arbitron, SRDS, Scarborough and MRI
