RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Negotiate with media vendors and work with Senior Media Planners/Supervisors to develop strategic recommendations that meet client-marketing goals + objectives.
- Develop a considered vehicle list (i.e., considered sites, publications, lists, etc.)
- Develop and maintain media plans, and related documentation including approvals and budgets
- Utilize media research tools and resources to develop strategic client recommendations
- Develop Request for Proposals and field any vendor questions surrounding the RFP
- Evaluate returned RFPs and determine vehicle selections with Senior Media Planners/Supervisors
- Develop the final buy recommendation and buy summary with Senior Media Planners/Supervisors
Results Analysis:
- Provide measurement with necessary information and document framework to pull results data (e.g., performance reports, buy summaries, etc.)
- Analyze the data against the defined campaign success metrics (includes evaluation of creative performance)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possess up-to-date knowledge of media marketplace with some digital knowledge/exposure
- Clear understanding of media planning and buying process
- Media planning experience in an integrated agency a plus
- Bachelor degree in advertising, marketing or related program
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Strong knowledge of interactive marketing concepts and best practices
- Strong mathematic and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Experience with 3rd Party Ad server (DoubleClick, Media Mind)
- Working knowledge of online research tools such as Nielsen(Net Ratings), comScore and other media software tools
- Ability to analyze complex data, market research, and assist in formulating actionable plans
- Effective time management and organizational skills, as well as strong attention to detail
- The ability to work well with a team; function as a leader, and also work independently
- Ability to understand client objectives and how they translate into media strategies
- Able to manage day-to-day program execution
- Solid understanding of media performance metrics
