Ellen + Costa Rica = Happiness
That’s our kinda math. We partnered with The Ellen DeGeneres Show to share more happiness from The Costa Rica Tourism Board, this time with the family of 74-year-old Ernest Monhollen, whose 15-year old grandson, Austin Smith, lifted a 2,000 pound car off Ernest to save his life. Ernest and 5 family members will travel to Costa Rica in fall 2012.

Mr. Sloth Gets In On the Fun
Mr. Sloth, spokesanimal for our Million Dollar Gift of Happiness campaign for The Costa Rica Tourism Board, wanted to give a Gift of Happiness to Lynn Yakubinis, a member of the primate department and a sloth studbook keeper at Zoo Atlanta. So, we pretended to be local newspaper reporters interested in sloths, and we surprised her with a Gift of Happiness. Then, we gave Lynn a second gift so she could pay it forward. Man, Mr. Sloth sure is generous.
