Assistant Media Planner

The Assistant Media Planner is responsible for providing support to the media team in developing, optimizing and reporting media planning documents for the client assigned. The responsibilities are many, varied and not limited to those written this document.
Duties and Responsibilities
Support the development and implementation of national and local broadcast and cable television in traditional formats
Oversee all billing for broadcast and digital media including discrepancies
Utilize available media research tools and resources to support the development of strategic client recommendations (Nielsen, Simmons, Media Tools, ComScore,, etc.)
Develop Request for Proposals (RFPs) and field any vendor questions surrounding the RFP
Evaluate returned RFPs and determine vehicle selections with Sr. Planner/Supervisor
Assist in monitoring and preparation of periodic media campaign reviews
Issue authorization and insertion orders, for all TV and digital campaigns
Support  Media Supervisor in TV/TVE/Digital reporting/optimization and execution

Required Experience, Education, 
Demonstrated Skills, and Abilities
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Advertising/Communications, or closely related field
  • Internship in a full service agency preferred
Effective writing skills
Strong mathematic and analytical skills
Familiarity with one or more of the following media planning tools desirable: Simmons, Comscore, Nielsen, Spectra
Mac experience, software, or other hard skills needed for success


Someone who is able to multi-task, think quick on their feet and very passionate.
