Director of Production - Atlanta/Tampa

Reports to: Chief Creative Officer

The Director of Production has a proven track record producing award winning integrated advertising projects that encompass live action shooting, photography, visual effects, online and offline experiential deliverables. You have a demonstrated history of managing a department of producers and projects at an Agency, ideally working on major consumer brands.  You have mentored and grown teams of producers at all levels within that department. 

You have a strong knowledge of all platforms and a skill set that allows you to create best in class online and offline experiences.  You have a robust collection of world class, dependable and tested vendor partners that you have worked with personally and can call upon.  You have a passion for the latest news, products, technologies, best practices, and trends in all forms of marketing production, including video, digital, experiential, social content and whatever is next.

You believe that production is as much of an art as a science and your expertise in balancing the business side of the work with the creativity inspires the teams and producers you work with.

Department Head Responsibilities:

Technical Competencies:

  • Ability to unify a team of producers (b’cast, digital and integrated) and find effective ways to work together on projects
  • Scope, budget and manage resources on multiple projects from concept to launch, with accountability and responsibility for creative quality and budget
  • Maintain an awareness of all ongoing projects
  • Be an active participant in new business process
  • Manage development and evolution of department processes
  • Relationships with the top production, editorial and music vendors
  • Lead staffing and vendor decisions
  • Elevate training and operations
  • Stay on top of the best work and trends and share that knowledge
  • Strong collaboration and partnership with CCO and entire creative department
  • Provide leadership and mentorship within the department, particularly as it relates to career growth
  • Help the agency foster, sell, and execute ‘first ever’ ideas

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 8 years of production experience creating both video/still assets (full shoots – idea through finish) and interactive work (idea through launch) as well as a strong working knowledge of web tools, technologies, and production-related best practices
