Account Executive

22squared is seeking an Account Executive in our Tampa office. Candidates should have experience managing the day to day workflow on projects involving strategic media planning, creative concepting and execution for omnichannel campaigns.  In addition, they should have proven success in building and maintaining relationships with clients and internal teams.


Business Leadership:

Demonstrates a deep understanding of the client’s business to evaluate work based on business goals and communication objectives.


Creative and Strategic Stewardship:

  • Responsible for mastering basic agency processes, developing positive client relationships, and developing strong relationships with the integrated team.
  • Guides day-to-day development of advertising activities within approved plans. Ensures that progressive stages are approved with adequate time to meet schedules.
  • Coordinates the development of the advertising activities with media, creative, production and analytics teams in accordance with client’s objectives and budget.
  • Consults with creative and media teams to communicate client objectives and to develop alternative strategic solutions.
  • Uses market research information to evaluate, adjust, and redirect campaign.
  • Responsible for sharing relevant industry and competitive updates.


Relationship Building:Serves as mentor and trainer for Assistant Account Executives.


Communication Skills:

  • Serves as liaison between client and all internal teams.
  • Leads internal communication and collaboration across departments.
  • Manages up to Supervisors to keep leadership informed on important client and internal team updates.



Acts as a steward of agency culture and actively supports our 7 pillars.


Financial Stewardship:

  • Submits ideas and cost estimates to client for approval.
  • Acts as financial steward by managing media, production, out of scope project and service fee budgets and billing.
  • Reviews and approves client billing.





  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend sometimes-complex instructions, correspondence, and memos
  • Effectively presents information in one-on-one and group situations to clients and agency employees
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Applies common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
  • Mac proficiency - specifically spreadsheet, word processing, database, Internet, and email applications (MS Office preferred)
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with different people and work styles
  • Experience executing administrative and tactical account work and ability to mentor AAEs in performing those duties
  • AEs should have a solid understanding of basic marketing tactics and the way an agency works
  • Demonstrate a desire to understand clients’ business and the agency profitability model
  • Experience leading tactical projects including promotional or routine monthly campaigns
  • Demonstrate success managing projects, schedules, and client deadlines
  • Working knowledge of agency departments’ capabilities and processes (content, media planning and buying, analytics, etc)
  • Basic presentation skills
  • Ability to learn project management and reporting tools
  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA or BS) required
  • 2-3 years experience in advertising, marketing or related field
