REPORTS TO: Influencer Marketing Director

 

OVERVIEW

22squared is seeking an Associate Director who is passionate about using Influencer Marketing to solve client’s businesses challenges. The Associate Director is ultimately responsible for fostering trusted relationships with the clients, setting the course for the business, motivating and growing internal resources and strategically elevating the work to meet client and agency goals.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Influencer Program Strategy and Management:

        Possess deep understanding of client’s business goals related to Influencer Marketing, including overall strategy and measurements of success

        Strategically lead all IM programs on assigned account, connecting dots with other internal teams to ensure alignment

        Strategically assess new assignments, review and refine work, and develop/grow the client relationship.

        Craft a vision and growth strategy for IM within the business, providing regular updates to Influencer Marketing Director

        Contribute to overall team effectiveness by collaborating and supporting as needed on tactical program needs

        Champion the IM team’s work and collaborate with team on program recommendations

        Navigate contractual concerns with client and 22squared legal teams, seeking input from and managing up to Influencer Marketing Director

        Provide strategic insight related to broader business objectives in all program recommendations

        Contribute IM team hours estimates to Out of Scope Job trackers, and communicating regular updates to Influencer Marketing Director

        Track and maintain budget and staffing implications of overall IM business on the account, including requesting creation of job codes as new projects are awarded and flagging both Influencer Marketing Director and Account Management team when increased staff is required

        Write POVs/strategies/recommendations etc., working with the team and clients to refine/evolve and grow strategy for influencer partnerships overall. 

 

Relationship Management:

        Leverage trusted partnership with clients through intimate knowledge of their business and consistent execution of their marketing plans to influence ongoing vision and objectives of influencer marketing efforts, grow business and improve efficiency

        Lead relationship mapping for the influencer marketing team to ensure relationships are strong at all levels, actively addressing potential friction

        Manage client expectations to limit surprises and strengthen trust

        Lead the growth and development of all direct reports

        Forge strong relationships with agency leadership across departments and influence change and betterment of the work

        Navigate how to get internal advocates around new influencer ideas and initiatives

 

Financial Management:

        Track overall profitability and financial health of the influencer marketing portion of the business for assigned account

        Partner with Influencer Marketing Director and Account Management lead to development annual SOW for influencer marketing, and manage ongoing execution ensuring efficiency and adaptability as client needs evolve

        Responsible for managing the IM team staffing plan for the business and partnering with Influencer Marketing Director to secure resourcing and manage hours allocation

        Accountable for all billable and non-billable expenses associated with the influencer marketing portion of the client’s business, and partnering with Account Management to flag any concerns

        Identify opportunities for incremental projects and assignments with the agency’s goals in mind
 

Qualifications:

        Education:  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year university or college

        Work Experience:  

  • 5+ years of experience in account leadership with a clear trajectory from entry to senior-level in an agency setting
  • 3+ years of experience in Influencer Marketing with a clear passion for and dedication to the evolution of the influencer landscape
  • Proven track record of success in previous roles

        Technical Skills:   

  • Mastery of Influencer Marketing strategy
  • Passion for social media personalities and blogs, both professionally and personally
  • Strong understanding of marketing and social media ecosystem
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of online community platforms and behaviors
  • Mastery of scope and budget development & tracking
  • Superb written & verbal communication skills
