Sr Accounting Coordinator/ Analyst

OVERVIEW

The Accounting Coordinator performs assigned accounting duties to support the achievement of the Agency's financial objectives.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs assignments and responsibilities in accordance with established accounting procedures and generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Prepares monthly billing for assigned client(s), assuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Process production and print vendor payables; obtain and verify proper backup, analyze and reconcile discrepancies, and meet payment deadlines.
  • Responsible for ad hoc reporting and analysis on billing, hours, and other client related reports as needed.
  • Interact with Account Management, media, and outside vendors to resolve problems.
  • Reconcile and analyze transactions on ongoing and complete projects in the agency.
  • Interface with other departments to relay and/or obtain needed information and requirements.
  • Accurately and efficiently complete other general accounting responsibilities as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Able to prioritize, organizes, and resolves problems with assistance from the Finance Manager.
  • Able to work under pressure and complete assigned work on time.
  • Demonstrates clear and concise oral and written skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain spreadsheets and to use a computerized accounting system.

  • Intermediate Excel experience required ( vlookups, hlookups, pivot tables).
  • Some general ledger experience preferred.
  • Drive to grow and continually learn new things.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new software programs.
  • Ability to problem solve transactions.
  • Management Experience a plus.
