OVERVIEW
The Senior Brand Strategist should be curious and insightful while being able to offer a unique perspective that guides brand and creative direction. They must be able to held lead junior Strategists and also work closely with creative, media and analytics to influence innovative and effective work. They must be compelling storytellers, both verbally and in writing. The kind of person others look to for ideas and inspiration. They need a solid working knowledge of consumer research and cross-channel strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES


Strategic Leadership

  • Help develop strategic deliverables including brand positioning, consumer insights and journeys, strategic POVs, campaign briefs and content strategies
  • Build agency intelligence through trend watching and industry-relevant thought leadership
  • Serve as a connection point between strategy, media, creative and analytics to promote collaboration, innovation, and strategic thinking

 

Research and Insights

  • Design innovative research approaches to solve problems and gather insights that lead to effective and breakthrough creative
  • Manage qualitative and quantitative research projects from planning through presentation, including research definition, vendor selection, question development, and statistical analysis
  • Foster and maintain partner relationships with research vendors, recruiters and platforms


QUALIFICATIONS
 

  • 5+ years of brand planning/strategy experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Graduate degree in communications, advertising, brand planning or business a plus
  • Deep knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Experience developing cross-channel strategies (Including digital and social)
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis, with knowledge of Simmons and Excel programs
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Passion for trend-watching and consumer/cultural insight gathering
  • Strong relationship management skills – both internal and client-facing
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
